With beauty and aptitude, Zoe Saldana is a fascinating actress and tremendous dancer, producer and director in the Hollywood. She was born as a Zoe Yadira Saldaña Nazario, on June 19, 1978, in Passaic City, New Jersey, United States. Her father, Aridio Saldaña, came from the Dominican Republic, while the mother, Asalia Nazario, belongs to Puerto Rico. She spent most of her earlier childhood time in Heights, Queens. When she was nine-years-old, her father died in a car accident; this led her mother to relocate Saldana and her two sisters, Cisely and Mariel to their grandparent’s place, Dominican Republic. Zoe said in an interview that she admired Whoopi Goldberg and Angelina Jolie. She is fluent in Spanish, and she understands French, Italian and Portuguese. About a Latin descent, she manifested: “People always consider Latina women as fiery and fierce creatures that is true. But the one valuable quality that many Latinas have is strength. I feel very proud to have Latin blood, and I like to look strong, cool geek and commanding.” She revealed that although she had seen a lot of science fiction movies, from Dune to Alien, but she never got a chance to see the original Star Trek. She never likes to get political, but when it comes to influence a large mass of people, she would love to be a voice of the evolving cycle of progress versus keeping things the way that they are.
